Thousands of visitors from around the world

PotatoEurope has become, by definition, the annual meeting for all European professionals in the potato sector. Its sheer size makes it an event that attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world. Thousands make the trip from dozens of countries across the globe.
PotatoEurope is a label create at the initiative of Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands, with the aim of coordinating European field events around the potato. A travelling event, the French edition of PotatoEurope 2012 follows the Belgian edition in 2011 and precedes the Dutch and German editions in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

PotatoEurope welcomes exhibitors from around the world

Among the 250 firms expected to attend, nearly one third are foreign operators. We should note the presence this year of British and Dutch pavilions. These firms have identified the French market as a major one and know that the event is the trade fair for European potato professionals with whom they hope to do business.

PotatoEurope welcomes thousands of foreign visitors

Since the organisation of the first Journées de la Pomme de Terre (Potato Days) at Villers-Saint-Christophe, which became PotatoEurope in 2008, the event has become increasingly important internationally. In 2004 it welcomed nearly 1,500 foreign visitors from 34 different countries and in 2008 there were 2,500 from 40 countries. This year our ambitions in terms of attendance remain high: 10,000 visitors - including 3,000 international visitors - are expected during the 2-day event.

The website www.potatoeurope.com, has been translated into 6 languages, in an effort by the organisers to reach a broader audience.

Promotional campaigns have been launched in France and abroad (in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and, more recently, Spain, Portugal and around the Mediterranean) in the agricultural press, on our partners' websites and via different agricultural events.
